Oregon Conservation Corps of the Umpqua Valley

The Oregon Conservation Corps of the Umpqua Valley is an employment training program for young adults 16-26 years old. Crew members receive training in various fields of forestry with an emphasis on fuels reduction work. Crew member positions start at $16.00 per hour 35-40 hours a week.  These crews run 9 months of the year, times are dependent on fire season and saw restrictions. We are currently partnering with the Douglas Forest Protective Association, the Umpqua National Forest, Glide Revitalization, and many rural fire departments on various projects. Our crew members leave with experience and certifications to help propel them into a natural resources career. Application available Here
