Food and Farm Corps

Food & Farm Corps and the Phoenix Farm

Phoenix School of Roseburg has a vast history of school gardening and farm to school in Douglas County. As one of the first school gardens in the county to provide produce to school meals, we take pride in being a role model for school garden programs throughout the state. Food & Farm Corps is designed to operate a production farm on school grounds to provide over 1,000 pounds of produce to the school meal service, while creating job skills for youth. Through partnerships with local farms, Tribal leaders, and community members, Food & Farm Corps and the Phoenix Farm will create hands-on, experiential learning for students and families.

STARTING OCTOBER 11TH, 2025 – Phoenix Food & Farm Corps will be at the Umpqua Valley Farmer’s Market on Saturdays 9 am to 1 pm rain or shine. The Market is located downtown on the SE Jackson St. 500 Block Between Washington & Oak.  Stop by and say hi to our youth crew and enjoy the wonderful produce these teens have helped grow and harvest!  Find them on Facebook at Phoenix School Farm.
