On Thursday, January 28, Phoenix Charter High School students will be hosting the inaugural Winter Palooza in the school’s multi-purpose room. The event will be going from 4:30-7:00 p.m.
During the event, there will be bingo for $1 per game, live music performed by the student band The Phoenix Quorum and The Phoenix Band Project, prize raffles, a cupcake contest with the culinary arts students, the opportunity to create your own avatar with our tech class, student artwork, class displays and finger painting for children. In addition, there will be s’mores cooked on the outside barbecue pit.
Winter Palooza is being spearheaded by the Event Planning class taught by Thomas McGregor on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students have taken the lead with the planning and activities.
“We have been working together to come up with a great winter celebration for our community,” said junior Noelani Gumm. “This is going to be the excitement for the year! I can’t wait to show my skills.”
This event is open to the public and a great way to see dynamic work that Phoenix Students have to share. For questions about the event please contact our front office at 541-673-3036.
