FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR KIDS AGES 1-18 AT PHOENIX CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL
As summer approaches we are gearing up to launch our free summer meals for kids program! Open to all kids 1-18, our program makes sure kids have the fuel they need to learn and play all summer long. Our summer food program will run from June 20 to July 28, Monday through Thursday. Breakfast will be served from 8:30-9:00am and lunch from 11:30am-12:30pm.
This will be the seventh year our organization has provided the free summer food for kids program and we look forward to another great year and serving even more kids in our community.
Parents and guardians can also enroll children grades 1st thru 6th in our Youth Earth Connect program for $20 a week or $100 for the entire six weeks! (Scholarships available) We’re offering other CTE Summer Camps here at Phoenix as well, visit our 2016 Summer Programs page for further information.
The Phoenix School Summer Meals Program is a collaborative effort in our community partnering with:
Roseburg Public Schools
USDA School Lunch Program
Douglas Education Service District
Additionally, Phoenix School has been selected to receive a Summer Meals Support Fund grant from Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon to help meet our goal of making sure kids in our community have the fuel they need to learn and grow during the summer. These funds will help support transportation of youth from Casa De Belen youth shelter and other program needs.
